Lisa's story
Lisa has always had a passion for enhancing the lives of people in the community. Since 2006, she has worked in several care settings across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, gaining lots of insight into the world of social care. She has developed many skills and techniques and has lots of experience supporting people to enhance their quality of life.
Lisa started her career in care working in a residential setting for individuals with learning disabilities where one of her roles was to organise activities in the community with the aim to prevent social exclusion. Alongside this, she completed her NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care which gave her the knowledge and confidence to move onto a different care setting.
She worked in a nursing home and a supported living setting where she was promoted to assistant manager, overseeing two homes.
She then moved onto a homecare setting where she registered with the Care Quality Commission and became the registered manager. She finally felt at home because she was in a job which really promoted an individuals right to independence.
In 2022, Lisa decided to make her ever-longing dream come true and founded Join Homecare.
